| 内容記述 | 筋ジストロフィ症患者が通う西多賀養護学校高等部では，インターネットを積極的に授業に利用してきた．主にWWWの利用であったが，患者にとっては簡単な操作で必要な情報を入手し，ネットワーク上で外部とのコミュニケーションがとれたことは学習に良い影響を与えたと考える．インターネットを利用する際，障害に合わせ個々にポインティングデバイスの選択が必要となる．また，障害が進行性のため時間の縦断的な検討も重要である．そこで，プログラマプルなマイクロコントローラ(icrochip PIC1)を組み込んだポインティングデバイスの開発を行い，症状に合わせて調整することで，このポインティンデバイスが長期間に渡って患者が利用できるように検討を行った． | |||||||

| 内容記述 | In this research we report the improvement of GUI-operation device for students with physically impaired (especially muscular dystrophy). In Nisitaga School for the Persons with Physically Handicapped, students and teachers have used Internet (WWW) for a year. They found that it is efficient because students can get much information easier than by printed materials. During the year, however, it was necessary to provide an adequate operation device for each student and to fit the device for the progression of their disease. So we developed a pointing device including a programmable micro controller (Microchip PIC16) to adjust the device to users' condition, and examined whether it is available for a long period of time. | |||||||
