| 内容記述 | PCクラスタは、情報工学の先端的研究から広がり、工学を中心とした問題解決手段として広く利用されるようになって来た。さらに今後は教育機関においても、並列プログラミングの演習用などへの応用が考えられる。この場合、教育用計算機群はWindowsベースで構築されることが多く、通常利用しているWindowsデスクトップ環境からの延長線上でのPCクラスタが求められており、またユーザーアカウントやマシンの管理制御などを行うActive Directoryとの連携も望まれている。そこで本研究では、このような教育用計算機システムに親和性の高いPCクラスタシステムとして、Windows Compute Cluster Serverを取り上げ、このシステム構築の方法を解説し、教育用PCクラスタの可能性を検討することを目的とする。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Recently, PC clusters have moved from the laboratories of cutting edge computer science research to become widely adopted as a powerful tool for problem solving in engineering and other fields. The use of PC clusters can also be considered in parallel programming in educational environments. If this is implemented it would be preferable that access to the PC cluster be via Windows desktop, given that in educational contexts many computer networks are constructed based on the Windows system. Application interaction with Active Directory, which manages and controls user accounts and machines, is also important. In this project, Windows Compute Cluster Server was adopted as the PC cluster system because of its affinity with educational computer networks. The report describes the system’s construction method, and discusses the effectiveness of PC clusters in educational environments. | |||||||
