• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 急速に普及しつつあるLANでネットワーク化されたPC/WSで電話機能やテレビ電話機能を実現するには音声、動画等のマルチメディア情報の等時性・対話性を保証する必要がある。本稿では、データ受信側でデータ送信間隔と受信間隔の差分を観測することでLANの負荷を推定し、負荷の変動に合わせて符号化速度を変更する動画通信方式と遅延揺らぎ吸収時間を変更する音声通信方式を提案する。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper proposes a method of multimedia realtime communication on LAN. It is desirable to use PCs or WSs as communication tools like telephones or video telephones, which become popular in office environment and are networked by LANs. Voice and video integrated multimedia realtime communication which guarantees the continuity and the small amount of delay time of the data stream on LAN is required to realize the system. We propose the integrated voice and video communication method, in which the coding speed of the video data is varied in proportion to the load of the LAN, and the delay time variation of the voice data is controlled according to the load of the LAN, too.
