• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 電子編集システムは、卓上にて高品位な文書を簡単に編集・印刷するシステムで、一般のワープロレベルを超える編集機能・性能を持つ。そのハードウェアには、（）400dpiの高精細スキャナとレーザプリンタの採用（）多様な書体・文字サイズのサポート（）画像の拡大/縮小、圧縮/伸長の高速処理が要求される。これらの課題を解決するために、（）32ビットCPUを積んだパソコンエンジンをベースに採用（）印刷用大容量メモリの付加（）文字・画像処理を加速するアクセラレー夕の開発と搭載を行なった。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: A Desk Top Publishing system is that edit and publish the high quality documents on the desk. The hardware of this system is composed by (1)an image scanner and a LASER Printer both with the high resolution of 400dpi, (2)a support of multistyle and multisize characters fonts, and (3)a high speed image data processing. So, we adopted (4)the personal computer with 32bit-CPU for the base engine, (5)the additional memories for the image data, and (6)the additional processors for character-generating and image-processing.
