• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本文では、条件分岐によるハザードの影響を緩和するための新しい方法を提案する。従来から、この目的のために、分岐予測を行なう方法や、投機的実行を支援するプレディケーティング機構等が提案されている。しかし、分岐予測を行なう方法では、予測したのと違う方向に進んだ場合には、やはりハザードが生じてしまう。また、プレディケーティング機構では、複数の条件レジスタやレジスタファイルを必要とするため、特に条件分岐が連続する場合は問題となる。そこで、書き込み専用命令をもつVLIW計算機を提案し、従来の方式に比べて少ないハードウェアの増加で、条件分岐が連続する場合に、条件分岐によるハザードの影響を緩和できることを明らかにする。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper describes a new method to decrease the hazrd due to the conditional branch with unique write instructions. Several methods have been proposed to achieve this purpose such as a computer with a speculative execution facility and a computer with a pridicated state buffering. However the former computer caonot avoide the penalty if the speculation is incorrect. The latter one requires a big hardware costs such as many condition registers and register files, and the cost is too much to support a large number of conditional branches. Therefore, this paper proposes a method with a lower hardware cost to decrease the penalty especially in the case of a large number of conditional branches.
