近年，世界中で生み出されるデータ量は増加し続けている．それらの大容量データを長期保存して分析することで，新たな価値を創造しようとする動きが活発になっており，それを実現する基盤として高信頼・低コストなテープストレージが注目されている．テープストレージの TCO を更に削減するための冗長化手段としてイレージャーコーディングがあるが，テープ特有のレイテンシが大きいため従来方式ではデータサイズによってはアクセス効率が悪くなる問題があった．本研究では，データサイズに応じて最適な EC 方式を切り替えることにより，高効率にアクセス可能な手法を提案する． |

In recent years, the amount of data generated around the world has been increasing. By storing and analyzing such large amounts of data for a long period of time, there is a growing movement to create new value. Highly reliable and low-cost tape storage is attracting attention as a basis for realizing it. Erasure coding is available as a redundancy means for further reducing the TCO of the tape storage, but there is a problem that the access efficiency is deteriorated in the conventional method depending on the data size due to the large latency peculiar to the tape. In this research, we propose a method that can be accessed with high efficiency by switching the optimal EC method according to the data size. |
