Twitter上に流れる人々の誕生を祝うtweetと、死を悼むtweetを収集し、花をモチーフとした映像で可視化する球体ディスプレイ向け作品、"HBD / RIP"を日本科学未来館主催の 第3回 ジオ・コスモス コンテンツ コンテストに出展した。巨大な球体ディスプレイという装置の特性を踏まえつつ、「生と死」という個人レベルと地球規模とでは捉え方の変わるモチーフを表現した制作過程を報告する。 |

"HBD / RIP" is a data visualization installation for the spherical display, Geo-Cosmos. It collects tweets related to peoples birthdaysand their deaths from Twitter, and expresses them as flowers in real-time. Taking into consideration the characteristics of the device,which is a giant spherical display, we expressed the concept of "life and death" in a way that shows the difference between the wayit is perceived on the individual level versus the global level. |
