Welcome to CollabTech 2005, the 1st International Conference on Collaboration Technologies. Collaboration Technologies is part of CSCW, a multi-disciplinary field that includes computer science, information engineering, sociology, and psychology. Because of CSCW cross-discipline nature, research within it ranges from highly technical work to studies of social behaviors; indeed, many research efforts use social studies to inform and evaluate groupware technologies. CollabTech 2005 intentionally stresses technology over social study. Its goal is to disseminate innovative collaboration technologies to the world as soon as possible and thereby to stimulate the CSCW community. |
