In this paper, we propose an efficient and secure multicast scheme, in which a sender can disseminate, an encrypted message to the receivers using identity-based encryption scheme (IBE), which has become a prevalent scheme of the public key encryption for secure data exchanges. As an encryption method for multi-recipient data disseminations, various identity-based encryption schemes have been proposed. However, existing schemes assume to generate keys on the sender. In dynamic environments, a large number of users (data owners) will join and/or leave simultaneously. As a result, there can be excessive computation loads for key generation on the sender. Our proposal applies a user-centric IBE scheme to the multicast encryption to reduce key generation loads of the senders and presents new multicast scheme. We have implemented a prototype of our scheme and evaluated its performances. |
