• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本講演では，画像一枚からそこに写る物の質感，特にその表面に関する質感を，人が感じるのと同じようにコンピュータで認識する問題を考える．例えば光沢感，透明感，硬さ，冷たさ，ざらつきなどがターゲットである．表面反射の物理モデルに基づく計測的手法ではなく，機械学習に基づく方法を扱う．講演者の研究，特に比較情報を用いた認識，材質認識との関係や，デイープネットの適用などを要約した後，分野で行われている関連研究について述べる．最後に，質感認識研究の今後の展望について議論したい．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In this talk, I discuss how a computer can recognize the Shitsukan, or the surface qualities, of objects, from a single image, in the same way as human vision can do. The targets of the recognition include glossiness, transparency, hardness, coldness, roughness etc. This talk considers mainly learning-based approaches, not measurement-based approaches that are based on physics-based model of surface reflectance etc. I first summarize our studies, for example, recognition based on relative information, relations to recognition of materials, and applications of deep networks to the problem, followed by discussing the related work that have been conducted in the related areas. Finally, I will discuss future prospects of the visual recognition of Shitsukan qualities.
